Springtime has finally arrived with inebriating scents, colors and sunshine. And it’s time to markets and exhibitions of flowers, a real torture for me … and yes … a torture because I can not take all these flowers that I like:). I find irresistible the markets set up in particular places such as castles’ parks or Italian villas.
This year I discovered “Flora”, a beautiful flower exhibition held at the picturesque Roccolo Castle at Busca, near Cuneo, in Piedmont Italy. The beautiful neo-medieval castle is open to the public and the park has a panoramic view of the area.
At the exhibition “Flora” exhibitors were Italian, some French and many rose bushes, I hardly resisted to buy me a rose … I’ve already planted a red rose but I would love to have a damask rose, very fragrant and perfect for achieving jams and rose essential oils. Unfortunately, the damask rose is a big bush and hence unsuitable for my balcony.

Dogs are allowed in the castle’s park and Michi had a really great time.
